Shawnee Smith is an American actor, singer and musician. She was born on July 3rd, 1970, and stands at 5'3". Smith is well-known for her character Amanda Young in Saw and Linda in CBS' sitcom Becker. Smith was once a member of the metal band Fydolla Ho with which she performed in the United States and the United Kingdom and was a part of Smith & Pyle a desert country-rock group with actress Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith is the daughter of Jim Smith, a former US Air Force Pilot and financial planner who was also an oncology nursing. Smith was born in Orangeburg South Carolina. Smith's family moved from South Carolina to Van Nuys California in the year she turned an infant. Her parents separated at the age of two, and her mother was married again when she was eight. She went to Ranchito Avenue elementary school in Panorama City Los Angeles, and Madison Jr. High School located in North Hollywood. North Hollywood High School is situated in North Hollywood California. In 1987, she was a graduate. The actress was awarded The Critics Choice Award in 2017 for the best actress in a TV Comedy. Rachel was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2019 for Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics together with songwriting partner Jack Dolgen & the late Adam Schlesinger. Rachel is currently performing the tour for her live show Death Let Me Do My Special to be performed in the spring/summer of 2023. Rachel managed to sell out Radio City Music Hall by playing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend : Live in a tour that included numerous performances. In the same year, she performed as a solo artist in What's I Going to do Today? that included a one-week residency with Just For Laughs.
